Welcome to the wonderland of Wisconsin, a magical adventure jam-packed with shimmering lakes and rivers that criss-cross like an incredible maze. It's a place where the maple trees grow so tall, they tickle the bellies of passing clouds and the cows have their own secret language. But the real stars of Wisconsin aren't on land, oh no! They are the fearless kids of the Wisconsin Water Wizards.

The Wizards are not ordinary kids, they are boating and canoeing enthusiasts who can slice through water faster than a cheesecutter through Wisconsin cheddar. They’ve got boats with names like "Rapid Rascal" and "Wave Whacker," and canoes labeled "The Splish-Splash Express." They embark on rip-roaring adventures, taking on the roaring rivers with laughter echoing through the valleys and leaving a trail of awe-struck fish in their wake.

There's the brave and boisterous Billy, who once paddled so hard he created a mini whirlpool. His best friend, the quick-witted Lily, can paddle in patterns so intricate that they look like dancing water art from above. And let's not forget about the mischievous twins, Sam and Pam, who love a good water fight, often surprising their fellow wizards with a sudden splash.

Every day is a wet and wild adventure in Wisconsin, where the water whispers tales of bravery and fun, and the kids never forget their sunscreen or life jackets. For the Wisconsin Water Wizards, every ripple and wave is a page in their never-ending water chronicle, a story as vast and enchanting as Wisconsin itself. Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

At Camp Manitou, we offer a wide variety of outdoor activities for children entering grades 2-10. From swimming and boating to large group games, campers will have the chance to learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Our unique Mud Hike is a camp tradition since the 1940s and gives campers the chance to explore the outdoors and have fun while getting a bit muddy.

Camp Timberlane is nestled in the Northwoods of Woodruff, Wisconsin. With access to pristine lakes, acres of forests, and plenty of open skies, our camp provides an ideal setting for a summer of adventure. Our dedicated staff of professionals is committed to providing the best summers of a boy's life. At Camp Brosius, you and your family create your vacation. Adults and children have the opportunity to participate in our exceptional family programming throughout the day, and we will provide fun-filled evenings for your entire family! Adults choose from swimming, tennis, sports and game tournaments, hiking, learning to sail, crafts, educational lectures, and more. Or, if it's respite you seek, you may prefer just to read a book and enjoy the serene setting. Young people ages 5–14 have an opportunity to experience a traditional summer camp, make new friends, and learn new skills. Meanwhile, parents and/or family members can relax and have fun knowing their children are safe and nearby. 

Children engage in daily age-appropriate programming provided by college students. The fun includes swimming, crafts, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, sports, talent shows, and more. 
Families with watercraft may dock their boats at camp and enjoy fishing or water sports. Nearby golf courses, outlet malls, and area attractions provide fun alternatives.

Your child will be able to explore an encouraging environment of play, learning, and companionship. The camp features cozy cabin living, creative counselors from all around the world, innovative programing, and plenty of new friends. Spend the days roasting marshmallows by the campfire, swimming in a crystal-clear lake, and gazing at the Milky Way! For over 115 years, COA's Camp Helen Brachman has been providing transformative camp experiences for Milwaukee's youth. The camp's trained counselors create a nurturing and supportive environment where children can explore the wonders of nature, try new activities, and make lifelong friends. Campers can enjoy summer camp, family camp, and winter camp sessions throughout the year. Camp Helen Brachman is the longest-serving camp in Wisconsin's history and offers a unique 206-acre facility with Pickerel Lake located at the center. The camp also features many other amenities such as hiking trails, a main lodge, a library, cabins, sports fields, and basketball courts.

Parents Magazine is proud to present Camp Fairwood, a 230 acre haven of pristine Wisconsin wilderness. For over fifty years, this Christian camp has been providing a refuge from the storms of life. God has blessed this camp with a mission of providing campers with an excellent Christian camping experience, in which they can come to know Jesus as Savior and grow closer to Him. 

Camp Fairwood offers a variety of activities that are designed to be both Christ-centered and action-packed. Campers can enjoy meaningful moments in a peaceful and pleasant setting. Throughout the year, Camp Fairwood hosts seven weeks of summer camp for youth and families and about 38 retreats. The camp is staffed by two full-time employees, two part-time employees, and about 40-45 seasonal staff during the summer. Parents can rest assured that their children will be cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
