Deep in the heart of the enchanting Green Mountains, nestled amongst the laughing rivers and chatty maple trees, lies the magical state of Vermont. It's a place where the leaves dance in hues of red and gold, and the snowflakes whisper secrets to the mischievous rabbits. And guess what? There’s a thrumming rhythm that beats in the heart of Vermont, a melody carried by the wind, strummed by the rain, and echoed by the mountains. This melody belongs to the music-loving kids of Vermont!

Now, let me introduce you to our funky hero, the musical maestro known as the Jamming Jay. With his feathered fedora and his guitar made from a sunflower stalk, Jay is the coolest bird in all of VT. Anywhere you find music, you'll find Jay bobbing his tiny blue head to the beat, his twinkling eyes shining brighter than the stars!

Jay loves visiting the kids in Vermont, especially those who dedicate their time to creating beautiful music. He's seen them all – the passionate pianists, the gregarious guitarists, the bold brass players, and the drummers who make the earth shake with their rhythmic heartbeats! With each musical note they play, Jay's feathers shimmer with joy. He even joins the chorus sometimes, adding his melodious bird song to the mix.

The kids in Vermont are not just performers, they're dreamers, crafting symphonies out of their hopes and fears. And with every beat and rhythm, they add a new layer to the enchanting enchantment that is Vermont. The state reverberates with their melodies, making Vermont not just a place, but a song, a rhythm, a symphony! And at the heart of it all, you'll find the Jamming Jay, strumming his sunflower guitar, leading the grand, ever-changing orchestra of music-loving kids!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

Swift Nature Camp

The Very Merry Theatre began as a small summer camp in Charlotte and Burlington and has since grown to become a theater company for children that performs one-of-a-kind plays at schools and community centers across Northwest Vermont. Executive Director Don Wright, who had three boys attending Edmunds Elementary School at the time, was instrumental in getting these early productions off the ground. These productions set the foundation for the organization's creative potential and served as a stepping stone for the theater's growth.

At Very Merry Theatre, we are passionate about promoting the growth of a vibrant community by providing children of all ages and backgrounds with the opportunity to practice theater. We believe that through the work and play that goes into creating theater, we are fostering literary and theater skills, self-confidence, and pride. Our commitment to this mission is evident in our annual productions at schools and community centers, our Travelling Theater Summer Camps, and our studio in Burlington’s Old North End Community Center.

Camp Dudley & Kiniya have been nurturing boys and girls for over 130 years. Located on the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in New York and the tranquil shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont, the camp provides a unique opportunity for children to develop their physical, spiritual, and leadership abilities. Our 146-acre property has grown from 6 campers in 1919 to 170 campers per session today. Through our balanced program of arts, athletics, outdoor exploration, and spirituality, we give children the chance to gain confidence and build character. We also provide a safe, electronics-free environment where children can make lifelong memories and form authentic friendships.

Camp Kiniya

Hosmer Point in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom offers campers a unique experience. Located lakeside, we provide enriching activities that boost self-confidence and empower young people to make positive changes in their communities. Each day is a jam-packed mix of fun, work, and exploration, with positive role models who encourage campers to challenge themselves and engage with others.

Our camp values of Cooperation, Generosity, Kindness, Respect, Trust, and Unity are at the forefront of our community and serve as guiding principles. We are also part of a sustainable and non-profit foundation with the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, and are dedicated to teaching environmental stewardship.

At Hosmer Point, the campers are our top priority. We strive to create a positive atmosphere where individuals can form life-long relationships and gain the knowledge and skills to make a difference.

At Camp Daybreak, children ages 8-11 in Vermont with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs can experience the joys of summer camp. The camp is run by The Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery, the only direct service program of its kind in the state. Every summer, 40 campers come to the camp, each paired with a big sibling—a high school or college-age volunteer—for a strength-based experience. 

Camp Daybreak also provides unique training for the volunteers, as well as much-needed respite for the families of the campers. Since 1961, Camp Daybreak has been an unforgettable experience for all those who take part. 

Families looking to provide a life-changing summer experience for their child can turn to Camp Daybreak—a residential summer camp for kids in Vermont with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The camp has been in operation since 1961, and is run by the Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery. Forty campers attend the camp each year, each paired with a high school or college-age volunteer. 

This summer program is more than just fun and games—it also provides valuable training for the volunteers, and much-needed respite for the families of the campers. Camp Daybreak offers a unique strength-based experience and has been a life-changing experience for all those who take part.

All campers and their families are surrounded by a warm and welcoming atmosphere and have access to a 24-hour medical team to ensure a safe and healthy experience. 

Camp Ta-Kum-Ta strives to create lasting memories for children and their families who have been affected by cancer. They provide an opportunity for these children to join together and feel normal, to have fun, and to develop life-long friendships. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta offers an extraordinary experience in a safe and loving environment, and is available to Vermont and Northern New York children and other out-of-state children treated in Vermont at no cost to their families.

Camp Farnsworth is the ultimate summer camp experience for your daughter. She'll get to choose from a variety of specialty programs, like Boots and Bridles, Lake Adventure, or Camptastic! In addition to these special activities, she'll have the chance to try new things with her unit, like floating lunch, stand-up paddleboarding, nature hikes, low-ropes challenges, and swimming in the pool. Every night is a special event, with campfires, s’mores, cookouts, and sing-alongs that will create memories that will last a lifetime. With one or two-week overnight camping sessions, Camp Farnsworth is the perfect choice for a summer adventure.

The sky is the limit for the local community and beyond with NECCA's offerings. Spectators of all ages can look forward to professional circus performances, engaging lessons from world-renowned guest artists and instructors, and meaningful programs for schools and youth organizations. NECCA is dedicated to providing the best in circus arts and advocating for greater access to the art form.

For over a century, Aloha Foundation has provided campers with a unique experience filled with fun, friendship, and a chance to unplug from the distractions of everyday life. Through meaningful conversations, creative music-making, and plenty of outdoor exploration, campers enjoy a simple yet thrilling environment nestled between a lake and a beautiful hillside. 

Aloha Foundation offers several different camps which are the perfect way to create lasting memories. Day camps like Horizons and Hulbert are designed for kids in kindergarten through 7th grade, while Hive and Lanakila provide overnight programs for girls and boys in 3rd to 8th grades. Aloha is an overnight summer camp for 7th to 10th grade girls. For families, there’s Ohana, a summer program for people of all ages, and Hulbert, with either a New Year’s or summer program.

Camp Lochearn for Girls is the perfect place for your daughter to spend her summer! We provide a positive, welcoming environment with over 40 fun and exciting activities for girls ages 7-15. From swimming and tennis to leadership development, we strive to foster a strong sense of community that promotes growth and friendship. Our experienced counselors are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for every camper. With a wide array of diverse activity options, your daughter will build self-confidence, discover new passions, and make lasting friendships!

At Flying Cloud Camp, every camper is welcomed and celebrated for who they are. There’s no need to conform to any norms or expectations; instead, campers are encouraged to explore the world around them. Through hands-on activities, campers learn to build a fire, carve their own utensils, and appreciate the beauty of the night sky. With so many acres of wilderness to explore, campers gain a sense of independence and self-confidence as they expand their horizons. 

At Flying Cloud Camp, every camper is seen and accepted for who they are. This off-the-grid experience in the Vermont wilderness provides a unique opportunity for boys and gender non-binary youth to explore the wonder of living in nature. Covenant Hills is a perfect destination for your church or organization's next retreat. With its 20 years of history as a summer camp, Covenant Hills is a great place to bring your group together. With a variety of activities to choose from and plenty of space to spread out, your retreat will be one to remember.

The United Methodist Church and United Congregational Church of Vermont partnered up to run a summer camp at Covenant Hills for more than 20 years. During that time, it was a place for week long overnight camps. Now it's a property available to rent for retreats, private camps, reunions, and sport events. The amenities are well-maintained and perfect for your next group retreat. With plenty of activities and space to spread out, Covenant Hills is a great spot for your church or organization's next event.
