This is no ordinary group, oh no, they're the Vermont Varmints, a scrappy bunch of basketball-loving kids. They may seem normal during the day, attending school and chomping on cheddar, but as twilight descends, they transform into high-flying, hoop-shooting, basketball dynamos! In the heart of this team is the tallest of them all, Bouncy Ben, a kid with a mop of red hair so untamed, you'd think a family of squirrels lives in it. Ben, with his super stretchy arms, can reach the basket from the half-court line. He leaps so high that he can practically collect clouds. His signature move? The "Maple Marvel," a slam dunk so powerful, it could shake the syrup out of a tree. Then there's Speedy Sammie, a girl as swift as a loon, who could race the wind and win. Sammie, with her jet-propelled sneakers, could dribble the ball so fast it became a blur. Her signature move? The "Vermont Vortex," spinning around her opponents in a whirlwind and leaving them dazed and dazzled. The Vermont Varmints, these kids are more than just basketball players. They're maple syrup-munching, snowball-dodging, moose-outrunning superheroes of the hardwood. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

It is a great opportunity for those with physical or mental challenges to benefit from an unforgettable outdoor experience. Since 1958, the camp has been providing a safe, fun, and accessible environment for campers with special requirements.
