They were the Utah Water Warriors, known far and wide for their splashing prowess! These kids weren't your ordinary landlubber tots, oh no! They could swim faster than a greased-up sea otter and could hold their breath longer than a napping turtle. With goggles on their eyes, making them look like bug-eyed, water-loving aliens, they would slip through the water like liquid lightning. Among these water-loving kids, there was one who stood out from the rest. His name was Bob. Bob the Bubblesnorter. Bob was famous throughout Utah not only for his speedy swimming but also for his hysterical habit of snorting bubbles out of his nose underwater, making everyone laugh until their bellies ached. Bob the Bubblesnorter and the rest of the Utah Water Warriors were a sight to behold, as they made waves and splashed joy throughout the state. They showed everyone that swimming wasn't just about winning races or breaking records, but about having fun, being silly, and creating ripples of laughter. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Camp Hobé offers psychosocial support for children with cancer and similarly-treated disorders and their families, through summer camps and family outings. Our mission is to create an atmosphere that enhances self-esteem, fosters independence and friendships, and creates a feeling of belonging. Camp Hobé gives these families the opportunity to participate in activities just like those whose families are not affected by these illnesses. The summer camp program provides medical and psychosocial supervision to ensure children are safe both mentally and physically during camp.
