Once upon a clatteringly cold morning in the bulbous state of Utah, known to everyone (including the postman) as the 'Beehive State', a group of kids known as the 'Hiking Hornets' gathered. They were a merry bunch, with laughter that echoed through the canyons and a spirit as fiery as the desert sun. They loved hiking more than they loved extra cheese on their pizza, and that's saying something, for they were a cheese-loving lot! Their leader was a sprightly chap named Gruff Guffaw, a man as robust as a grizzly bear with a laugh that could shake the mountains. His eyes twinkled with mischief, and he wore a hat that was two sizes too big, making him look like a mushroom that had sprouted legs. The kids loved him and his funny tales, especially the one about the 'Snoring Cactus.' Utah, their playground, was a wonderland filled with grand mountains, echoing canyons, and mysterious caves. Majestic and bold, it was like the setting of a grand adventure novel, waiting to be explored. The 'Hiking Hornets' loved every inch of it, from the Rainbow Bridge to the Zion National Park, every place was an invitation to a new adventure. Every day, with their bags filled with sandwiches, water bottles, and Gruff's infamous 'Belly-laugh Beans,' they set off on a new journey, hiking up and down the state's terrain. Their shoes would crunch on the terrain, their voices would echo through the valleys, and their laughter would float over the rivers. The 'Hiking Hornets' and their unstoppable energy made Utah more than just the 'Beehive State.' It was their home, their adventure, and most importantly, their laughter-filled playground!

Camp Hobé gives these families the opportunity to participate in activities just like those whose families are not affected by these illnesses. The summer camp program provides medical and psychosocial supervision to ensure children are safe both mentally and physically during camp.
