You see, Billy Bob isn't your average crab. He's got a ten-gallon shell and a hearty laugh that echoes across the gulf. He's a sea-cowboy with a twang in his voice and a splash in his step. With a cowboy hat perched on his shell and a bandana around his neck, this crustacean is on a mission to make these kids the best sailors in Texas! The young sailors, or "Sea Rangers" as they like to call themselves, gather around Billy Bob, their little eyes shining brighter than the North Star. Their laughter fills the air as they learn to tie knots, set sails, and navigate through the vast blue yonder. Billy Bob makes sure it's a hull-load of fun! He adds a Texas twist to every lesson, like the time he taught them to steer their sails with a lasso, or when they learned to anchor using just a pair of cowboy boots. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

Campers are grouped by age, allowing them to build friendships within their peer groups, all while having a great time and embarking on new adventures. Situated on a beautiful 460-acre plot in Paradise, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Camp Summit is the ideal location for a safe and fun camping experience. We are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas. Our campers may have physical challenges, developmental delays, dual-sensory impairments, or multiple disabilities. However, we welcome all campers, regardless of the severity of their disabilities, as long as we can medically meet their needs. We fully understand the concerns you may have about your child's safety and well-being, which is why we have an on-site medical staff and up-to-date nursing facilities.
