Deep in the heart of Texas, where the cowboys roam and the chili peppers grow wild, a group of kids like none other comes together. They're not cowboys, though they do wear cool hats sometimes, and they're not chili farmers, though they do love a good spicy meal. No, these kids are the champions of the Texas Junior Archery League, and they're as sharp with an arrow as a rattlesnake's fang. Their leader is a character named Arrowhead Eddie, a tall, lanky boy with a cowboy hat perched on his head, an eagle feather stuck in the band, and a twinkle in his eye as bright as the Lone Star. Eddie has the fastest draw in Texas, said to be quicker than a jackrabbit on a hot griddle. When Eddie lets an arrow fly, it whistles through the air with the speed of a tumbleweed caught in a tornado. The rest of the archery gang are just as quirky and charming. There's Bowstring Betty, who can hit a cactus thorn from fifty yards away, and Bullseye Billy, a young archer with an uncanny knack for hitting the bullseye, even when he's shooting backwards, while eating a chili dog. These Texas archers have more fun than a barrel of armadillos. Between the friendly competitions, the laughter-filled practices, and the joy of being outdoors in the glorious Texas sunshine, every day is an adventure. But mind you, when it's time for the annual Texas State Archery Championship, these kids become as serious as a longhorn bull on a moonlit night. So, all you young archers out there, if you ever find yourself in Texas, just look for the laughter, the flurry of arrows, and the twang of bowstrings. That's where you'll find Arrowhead Eddie and the Texas Junior Archery gang, the sharpest shooters in the Lone Star State.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
