This state is not only well-known for its peaches, beaches, and historical treasures, but it's also famous for a special breed of superheroes - the Dancing Dynamos! The Dancing Dynamos are not your run-of-the-mill kids who enjoy computer games or roller skating. No, these kids are a breed apart! They are the swaying, spinning, twirling, and prancing powerhouses of SC, who can bust a move even before breakfast. They are led by their captain, a charismatic character known as Rhythm Rooster. Now, Rhythm Rooster is not your average rooster. He talks, he walks, and boy, can he dance! With his colorful plumage, snazzy dance shoes, and a boombox that follows him around like a faithful pet, Rhythm Rooster guides the Dancing Dynamos across the dance floors of SC, bringing joy, laughter, and a whole lot of rhythm. With every sunrise, Rhythm Rooster wakes up the Dancing Dynamos with a "cock-a-doodle-doo" and a hip-hop tune. He believes that every day in SC is a perfect day for dancing. From the Beach Boogie on the sandy shores of Myrtle Beach to the Charleston Chassé at historic downtown Charleston, these kids are always ready to express their joy, their energy, and their love for their beautiful state through dance. The Dancing Dynamos are the heart and soul of SC, proving that no matter where you come from, whether it's from a bustling city or a peaceful town, with a little bit of rhythm and a whole lot of heart, you can create magic on the dance floor!

At CCJ Conservatory, we are nationally recognized for excellence in dance education. Our classes and performances are proudly supported by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which is funded by the National Endowment of the Arts. Our studio is conveniently located on Highway 378 between Lexington and Columbia, S.C. We know that the first dance class your child takes is the most important, and we strive to provide a fun and safe experience that offers a strong foundation in technique and terminology. Our goal is to foster self confidence, discipline, and a sense of community in our young dancers. We believe that these skills will have a positive impact on other aspects of their lives, even if they don't continue dancing for an extended period.
At our Afterschool program, we make sure that every child has a sense of belonging and a place to thrive. Our program is designed to bring out the best in every student, combining art and athletics in a way that is accessible and enjoyable. We also offer plenty of fun activities, including free play time in our on-site, fenced-in playground. In addition to the fun activities, our Afterschool program also provides a number of opportunities for learning and growth. We have a library with quiet and organized homework time, as well as a snack program with locally grown and healthy ingredients. We also have a playroom for younger children and a media room for tweens. These resources provide students with the opportunity to explore and grow in a safe and welcoming environment.
