Ohio is an enchanted place, where the forests whisper stories, cities hum tunes of adventure, and even the cornfields dance in the wind like a scene straight out of a movie. The Ohio Filmmaking Superstars loved their home state and found it to be the perfect backdrop for their cinematic magic. Captain Director, with his silver cape billowing and his script-shaped shield glistening, would guide these young storytellers. He would say, "A filmmaker's power lies in their ability to dream. Dream big, kids, and the world will be your movie set." And oh boy, did they dream! They dreamt of comedies that made the sunflowers giggle, dramas that made the Great Lakes sigh, and thrillers that kept the buckeyes glued to the screen. From Ashtabula to Zanesville, they filmed their movies, spreading their joy, magic, and creativity throughout the state. Captain Director and his Ohio Filmmaking Superstars became legends. Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats.
