He's a zany, imaginary character with a beard that looks like a fluffy cloud of cotton candy (only gray, not pink!). Captain Whiskerbeard may not have a real ship, but he's the grand guide for our brave Ohio sailors. With a telescope as long as a giraffe’s neck and a paper map with scribbles of the Ohio lakes, he leads these children on their aquatic adventures. These Ohio kids, with their hearts full of courage and their heads full of dreams, take on sailing like ducks to water. From the shores of Lake Erie to the banks of the Ohio River, they zip and zoom, bob and weave, their little boats skimming the water like dragonflies. They laugh and shout, creating a symphony of joy that even the grumpiest catfish can't resist. They're fearless, they're enthusiastic, they're Ohio's sailing superstars! And remember, while these children may not have dolphins to race or waves as high as skyscrapers to conquer, they have Captain Whiskerbeard, Ohio's lakes, and an endless supply of that Ohio spirit.
