Once upon a time, in the vibrantly kaleidoscopic state of OH, there existed a motley crew of kids as assorted as a jumbo pack of jelly beans. Their collective heartbeat rhythmically throbbed to the enchanting and harmonious symphony of music. Among them, sallying forth, was a uniquely gifted boy named Jazz. Jazz was not your regular Ohioan kiddo; he was a wild, foot-tapping, head-bopping tornado of rhythm, a maestro who could make music out of anything, even a rusty old can. Ohio, the heart-shaped state of the Land of Liberty, was no ordinary place either. It was a realm where every dawn was tickled pink with the dewdrops of music. And the children, well, they were the artists of melody, painting each day with vibrant notes of love, laughter, and life. And Jazz, with his ever-twinkling eyes and red puffy cheeks, led the merry band of musical magicians. His fingers could prance on a piano, strum a guitar, and even beat a drum like a warrior in a battle of beats. His laughter was like a jolly jig, a happy note that spread infectious joy, making even the grumpiest of grouch's feet tap to its tune. From the rocky shores of Lake Erie to the bustling streets of Cleveland, the kids of OH had a magical knack for creating music that could cheer up a weeping willow or make a prancing prairie dog pause and tap a paw. And it was all thanks to Jazz, the tune-tastic tornado, who had turned OH into a euphonic playground.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
