Meet NJ, the Super Archer, a small but mighty state that packs a punch! Shaped like a pudgy elf shoe, it's squeezed snugly between New York and Pennsylvania, standing proud and tough. NJ, in our magical story, isn't just known for its juicy tomatoes and delicious blueberries. No, my friends, it's way cooler than that! It's famous for being the mystical land of pint-sized archers.

These kids aren't just ordinary children; they possess the extraordinary talent of archery, and they aren't shy about showing off their skills. From Cape May to High Point, the state buzzes with the sound of arrows whizzing through the air. The children balance school, ice cream eating contests, and of course, archery practice. You see, they have a secret weapon; their charming, mischievous leader, NJ. 

NJ, despite being the size of an average garden gnome, is as mighty as a full-sized, bucket-booted giant. With his pointy hat, always crooked just so, and his bright yellow bow, NJ is a character worth knowing. His arrows? They're made from magical jersey corn stalks, and they always find the bullseye, often with a funny *poot* sound that leaves everyone giggling.

These NJ kiddos, with their side-splitting laughter, are always ready for an adventure. They're sharp as their arrows, quick as their leader, and funnier than a barrel of ticklish monkeys. So, if you ever cross paths with NJ, the Super Archer, and his merry gang, get ready for a wild ride full of laughter, thrilling archery, and gooey, delicious s'mores (because what's an adventure without some sweet treats?).

At Helping Is Caring (HIC) Camp, we strive to give children with cancer and sickle cell disease a chance to just be kids for a week. Through providing them with a traditional camp experience, we hope to give them the opportunity to relax, have fun, and just be kids. Each summer we host four weeklong sessions for up to 350 children from over 15 different area hospitals. 

Our camp activities include activities like high ropes climbing, archery, swimming, sports, crafts, and even a “Cabin Wars” competition. Our medical team of specially-trained physicians and nurses is also on-site to provide 24-hour medical supervision and to participate in all camp activities. Our fully-equipped health center allows us to welcome even the sickest children, including those on active treatments, at serious risk of bleeding and pain crises, and with significant physical disabilities. 

At HIC Camp, our goal is to let children with cancer and sickle cell disease just be kids. We strive to provide a safe and fun environment for children to just be themselves and experience the joys of childhood. We believe that every child deserves the chance to just be a kid!
