He's somewhat chunky because he devours donuts instead of knights, his belly jiggly like a jelly-filled treat. Now, about the kids of New Jersey - they're a bunch of budding Picassos, Van Goghs, and Da Vincis, wielding their crayons, pencils, and pastels like knights wielding their swords and shields. Every day, they gather in their secret lairs - sometimes their bedrooms, sometimes the park, sometimes the backseat of a car on a long ride - and they draw. From skyscrapers that kiss the sky to deep seas full of fishies, their imaginations take a wild ride on the paper. These kids, they've got the magic touch. With a swish and flick of their magic wands, they create worlds out of nothing. And guess what, Sketchy the Dragon loves it! Every now and then, he swoops down, his wings rustling like giant silk curtains, and leaves a sprinkle of his magic dust on their artworks, making them come alive. Swift Nature Camp is the perfect place for your child to spend their summer! Our overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 is located in beautiful Wisconsin. We offer a unique blend of traditional summer camp activities and environmental education to help kids increase their appreciation for nature, science, and the environment. We’ve got it all – fun, friendships, adventure trips, and nature! Spend your summer with us – you’ll never forget it!
Founded in 1974 by visionary artists who saw promise in a 19th-centruy church building, The Art School at Old Church is a nonprofit, non-sectarian art and cultural center dedicated to inspiring individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Located in Demarest, New Jersey, we offer day and evening courses, workshops, and events for adults, teens, children, and families. The 4800-square-foot building houses four modern studios that are equipped for drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, glass beads, basketry, printmaking, digital photography, and collage. Classes are offered year-round over four semesters. Our summer camp, Blast of Art! for Kids, takes place in the 2nd and 3rd weeks of August. We also maintain two renowned art galleries: Mikhail Zakin Gallery, named for our founder, and Café Gallery, both of which host a variety of exhibits throughout the year. Our Old Church Pottery Show takes place the first week in December and attracts more than 1000 artists, collectors, and enthusiasts each year.
