Nestled on the spirited east coast of the United States, right between the hustle of New York and the charm of Philadelphia, is the state of New Jersey. A land of bustling boardwalks, phenomenal pizza, and some of the biggest attitudes around. With a personality as diverse as its landscapes, the Garden State, as it's fondly known, is a melting pot of cultures, cuisines, and sports, including the thrilling world of Muay Thai! Now, if you're scratching your head, wondering what a “Muay Thai” could possibly be, allow me to introduce Captain Kickboxer! A superhero from New Jersey, Captain Kickboxer got his superpowers from practicing a martial art known as Muay Thai. With his high-knee strikes, powerful punches, and dynamic kicks, he's always ready to save the day! Impressed by Captain Kickboxer, more and more kids in New Jersey are joining the fun of Muay Thai. They're not just looking to become superheroes, though. They enjoy the camaraderie, the discipline, and the rush that comes with each training session. The children that take part in Muay Thai in New Jersey are as diverse as the state itself. Some are pizza-loving kids from Newark who can do a roundhouse kick with the same intensity as they debate about the best pizza in town. Others are boardwalk regulars from Atlantic City who can balance on one foot for a high-knee strike as adeptly as they can surf a wave. Then there are bookworms from Princeton who can pack a punch as powerful as their intellect. These kids may not have superpowers like Captain Kickboxer, but they’re just as cool and unique, channeling their energy into an art form that's as thrilling and diverse as the state they call home. No evil could possibly stand a chance when it's up against a group of Muay Thai kids from New Jersey!

The Girl Fight program was established in 2009, by Martial Arts enthusiast Prairie Rugilo. After nearly 15 years of being the only girl on the mats. Her goal was to inspire a few girls to try real Martial Arts. Over a decade later, we’ve produced numerous Martial Artists, fighters and female coaches. So many amazing accomplishments have happened at Girl Fight, just because a hand full of girls stepped outside of their comfort zone, while looking for a fun way to “get in shape”.
The “Nicholas Scott Catone Training Center” named after Nick’s late son is a 31,300 square foot state of the art training facility located in Bricktown NJ, and is a Ricardo Almeida / Renzo Gracie affiliate gym. We first opened a 3,200 square ft. facility on September 18, 2010. The following year, in November of 2011, the academy expanded to a 5,200 square ft training facility. Just two years later in November of 2013 we expanded a second time to 8,000 square ft. facility. On December 19, 2017 Nick Catone purchased the building we now occupy, which opened its doors September 8, 2018 on Nick’s late son Nicholas’s 3rd birthday who unexpectedly passed away at the age of 20 months on May 12, 2017. The beautiful facility was built and now stands in memoram of his son Nicholas.
