New Hampshire, or as our imaginary character, Captain Splashy Beard, likes to call it, "The Secret Sea Kingdom". Captain Splashy Beard, who happens to be a hilarious pirate, is not like any other pirate. He sails not on the salty seas, but on the quiet, sparkling lakes of New Hampshire! Now, you might ask, "A pirate in a land full of mountains and forests?" But don't be fooled, for New Hampshire is not only about its majestic White Mountains or the lush Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee forests. This splendid state is also home to several serene lakes, where you'll often find the adventure-loving kids of New Hampshire eagerly involved in sailing. These kids, under the guidance of the funny Captain Splashy Beard, have mastered the art of setting the sails, catching the wind, and steering their vessels across Lake Winnipesaukee and other beautiful water bodies. Each day, you'll find Captain Splashy Beard, with his rubber duck floaty, and his crew of mini-mariners unleashing their boats onto the glass-like waters. Amid the laughter, splashes, and occasional duck chases, the children learn patience, teamwork, and respect for nature. They are not just kids but courageous sailors embarking on their mini adventures, discovering unseen parts of New Hampshire’s beautiful lakes. And, let's not forget about the infamous "Pirate Joke Hour," where Captain Splashy Beard entertains his crew with his notorious sea jokes. "Why couldn't the pirate play cards?" He'd ask, tugging at his rubbery duck beard, only to burst out laughing, "Because he was sitting on the deck!" Ahoy, the fun and frolic of sailing in New Hampshire with Captain Splashy Beard!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit which acts as the umbrella organization for Camp Brookwoods and Deer Run (NH) and Moose River Outpost (ME). We’re a network of non-denominational camps (and conference centers) not affiliated with any particular church, but adhering to the tenets of the historical Christian faith. We are grateful that our campers are a diverse group, coming from a variety of faith, economic, and racial backgrounds. CCCI’s mission is “To foster vibrant Christian communities located in awe-inspiring outdoor settings in which young people are spiritually transformed through Christ-centered relationships.” This mission is at the heart and soul of everything we do at our camps.
