In the far-off northern land of the United States, there exists a quirky, rectangular-shaped state named North Dakota. It's so flat, you could balance a pancake on it, and so cold, even polar bears wear mittens. But don't let that fool you, because within this frosty landscape is a sizzling hotbed of dance! The boys and girls of North Dakota are not ordinary kids — they are toe-tapping, spin-whirling, mega movers. From the capital city of Bismarck to the tiny town of Zap, children of all ages come together to celebrate the magic of dance. Be it ballet or breakdance, contemporary or country line, these kids have got the rhythm in their bones. Leading this dance revolution is an extraordinary character, fondly called Twisty Toes. Twisty Toes is not your typical dance instructor; he's a good-natured bison who dances on his hind legs! He's got a swivel in his step and a twinkle in his eye. With his neon tutu and disco-ball hat, Twisty Toes can groove like no one's watching! It's his love for dance, twirling around under the Northern Lights, that has inspired North Dakota's kids to dance their hearts out. Twisty Toes has a motto, "In North Dakota, we don't just walk, we waltz! We don't just run, we rhumba! And we don't just jump, we jive!" No matter the season, the cold never bothers the dancing dynamites of North Dakota. Even when the winter winds whoosh, you'll find them doing the cha-cha-cha in their snow boots! So, if you ever find yourself in North Dakota, don't be surprised to see a conga line of kids led by a disco-dancing bison. It's just another day in this hilariously high-stepping state!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

At Elks Camp Grassick, we are dedicated to providing a safe and fun summer camp experience for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. Since 1947, our camp has been a major project of the North Dakota Elks, and every summer, we serve close to 200 campers through six different sessions. Our camp offers activities which include reading intervention, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, recreation, crafts, and waterfront activities. We strive to create a supportive and accepting environment where campers can learn, grow, and build friendships while fostering independence. We believe that all campers should have the chance to enjoy a summer camp experience to the fullest, and we are committed to providing a safe and fun atmosphere for campers to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.
