In the hilly heartland of North Carolina, where the Appalachian Mountains scratch the sky and rivers carve through the landscape like a spoon through a bowl of grandma's famous pudding, a special group of kids have discovered a magical adventure on two wheels. These aren't your ordinary kids, no way Jose! They are the Bold Bikers of NC! 

Our story begins in the twinkling town of Asheville, where our hero, Bubblegum Billy, resides. Now, Bubblegum Billy wasn't your typical boy. Oh, he looked normal enough with his freckled face and curly mop of hair. But the moment he hopped onto his neon-colored mountain bike, a transformation occurred. His eyes would sparkle brighter than a firefly's behind, his smile as wide as the Mississippi.

Bubblegum Billy and his gang of bold bikers would explore every nook and cranny of North Carolina. They would pedal like mad through the Smoky Mountain trails, their laughs echoing through the trees. Downhill, they whipped past waterfalls, their wheels a blur of color in the sun. They challenged each other with daredevil stunts at the Outer Banks, their bicycles flying over the sand dunes like wild stallions. 

These Bold Bikers weren't just swift cyclists. They were also nature detectives, history explorers, and wildlife guardians. They would stop to observe fuzzy caterpillars or marvel at hidden caves, always careful to leave no trace behind. 

North Carolina was their playground, their classroom, their home. And every day, with the wind in their hair and the sun on their faces, these brave bikers would embark on another two-wheeled adventure, pedaling their way through the pages of their own exciting story.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

For over 8 decades, Johns River Valley Camp and Retreat Center has been providing outdoor ministry experience to children, youth, adults, families, groups, and church communities. Nestled in the foothills of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains, JRVC is situated beside a picturesque mountain stream with plenty of outdoor activities to offer. From waterfalls and hiking trails to an archery course, river activities, group interactive courses, and even a basketball court, the possibilities for outdoor fun and adventure are endless.

Southern Conference United Church of Christ’s outdoor ministry site, JRVC, has been providing a safe and exciting retreat experience since 1936. With its convenient access to the Blue Ridge Mountains and its scenic river, families and groups can enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities and adventures. At Camp High Rocks, we understand the importance of providing boys with a safe and supportive environment to grow and learn. Our experienced staff help to foster growth, independence and resilience in our campers through our traditional, family-owned summer camp.

Since 1958, we have been helping parents develop long-term relationships with their children by providing them with the chance to take part in activities of their own choice, and by setting and achieving personal goals. Finally, we aim to motivate our campers to approach the future with courage and a strengthened faith. We use activities and events to help our campers build their own faith in God, as well as to build a strong foundation of self-confidence. At Camp Pinnacle, we believe that summer camp should be about more than just having fun. We strive for our Great 8 Outcomes to be learned through adventure, immersion in a close-knit and tech-free community, and interaction with outstanding role models. Studies have shown that experiences like Camp Pinnacle make children’s brains inherently more receptive to learning. 

Our campers benefit from engaging activities that emphasize life skills and encourage the development of 21st century skills. We focus on helping campers build confidence, resilience, and empathy while developing teamwork and problem solving. Since 1993, Adventure Treks has been providing teens from all over the world with the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and have life-changing experiences. Our team of professionals guide young adults ages 13-18 through some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet, teaching them valuable skills such as self-confidence, social achievement, teamwork, and leadership. Over the past 25 years, we have offered more than 20 programs across North America, with over 20,000 students having gone on this journey. Our bespoke crafting workshops are designed to engage both your creative flair and your thirst for knowledge. To keep you abreast with the latest trends and techniques in crafting, we've devoted a fifth of our sessions entirely to learning.

Prepare yourself for an exciting journey of creating and connecting as these constitute the major portion of our workshops, a staggering 70% to be precise! You'll be offered ample opportunities to convert your innovative concepts into tangible creations and also get to know other art enthusiasts. Embrace the joy of crafting something magnificent along with forging friendships with like-minded individuals. 

And we certainly can't overlook the aspect of relaxation! Here at Crafts Zone, we set aside 10% of our time to simply unwind and recharge.
