Einstein's Workshop is a hands-on community center where kids create, explore, and enjoy Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. During the summer, we offer STEAM camps for kids entering Kindergarten through 9th grade. Camp topics include Minecraft, LEGO robotics, 3D printing, Dungeons&Dragons, science, math, chess, programming, game learning, digital art, making, inventing, and engineering. During the school year we offer classes on the same topics and coach FIRST LEGO League teams. We host birthday parties for lovers of Minecraft, LEGO, and hands-on fun! The Newton-Conover Auditorium is a remarkable facility with 504 seats and stunning Art Deco and Neo-Classical architectural elements. In 1991, it was rescued from demolition thanks to the collaboration of the City of Newton, Catawba County, Newton-Conover City School system, and thousands of alumni and citizens of Catawba County. This theater is one of the few Art Deco Theaters in North Carolina and the Southeast. As a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, the Newton Performing Arts Center now serves as a state-of-the-art performance facility, The Newport Music & Art School, and is available for public rentals.
