In the mysterious and adventurous state of North Carolina, where the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains whisper stories of ancient legends, and the waves of the Atlantic Ocean perform a never-ending dance, dwell a unique tribe of children. These are no ordinary children, mind you. They are the brave and fearless Krav Maga kids of NC! Our tale begins in their secret training grounds hidden amidst the towering pine trees and camouflias flowers. One was never too young or too old to join this extraordinary clan. Those as young as a giggly kindergartener, to those as seasoned as a sly 7th grader, all found their place in this remarkable tribe. Every day, they would gather at the break of dawn, their eyes gleaming with determination and their hearts fluttering with excitement, to practice the ancient art of Krav Maga. The clan's most enchanting character was their mystical guide, a humorous squirrel named Squirtle McFury. Don't let his fluffy tail and tiny paws fool you, he was as swift as a hummingbird and as confident as a lion. Squirtle McFury had a magical belt that would sparkle every time a kid perfected a Krav Maga move. He also had an infectious laugh that made even the grumpiest of grumpy old trees crack a smile. Under Squirtle's guidance, these pint-sized warriors trained to be quick, alert, and powerful. But the most crucial lesson Squirtle taught them was to be kind, understanding, and respectful to all, even when standing up against bullies. Yes, they were the Krav Maga kids of North Carolina - brave, disciplined, and always ready to leap into action, with a sparkle in their eyes and a giggle in their hearts.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

Aikido of Charlotte has been teaching the art of Aikido for over 25 years! Our Chief Instructor, Dennis Main Sensei, 6th Dan, Shidoin has over 50 years of experience and is the most senior aikido teacher in the Charlotte surrounding area. We are dedicated to helping our students learn and practice the traditional Aikido as handed down from the Founder, Morihei Ueshiba (O’Sensei). At Aikido of Charlotte, we emphasize the importance of respecting one another while training. Aikido is not a sport and therefore there are no competitive tournaments. Instead, we focus on cooperative training in which the Aikidoist betters oneself without belittling others, without the intention of harm or fear of injury. Our training seeks to encourage the spirit of O-Sensei’s desire for universal peace and harmony by balancing the attacker and defender.
