The state of North Carolina, fondly known as NC, is a wonderland where layers of blue mountains kiss the sky, beaches whisper tales of the ocean, and cities hum with energy and culture. It’s a place where the wild woods still hold secrets, and the rivers sing songs of the old days. And right here, amid the whispering trees and chipper birds, a group of children, known as the NC Nimble Noggins, come together for their most thrilling activity – Riflery! The Nimble Noggins are a daring and cheerful bunch, each possessing a unique personality that’s as vivid as the North Carolinian sunset. Leading this gang is a cool imaginary character named Bullseye Billy, a hilarious, floppy-haired whiz kid with freckles sprinkled across his nose. Billy, with his magical rifle named “Whistling Wendy,” can hit any target, no matter how tricky it may be! In Riflery, these kids aren't just learning to aim and shoot; no sir, they're mastering the art of focus, patience, and respect for safety rules. Their quirky imaginations turn the rifle targets into ice-cream cones, alien spaceships, or even the rare snoring dragon! With every shot, they imagine splattering ice-cream, saving the world from aliens, or waking the lazy beast. Riflery days are always filled with laughter, the thud of bullet hitting the target, and Bullseye Billy’s funny tales. Billy would often say, "Remember, we're not just shooting at targets; we're aiming for fun and teamwork!" And this is how, in the heart of NC, amid all the natural beauty, the Nimble Noggins fill their days with laughter, adventure, and a whole lot of Riflery fun!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Camp Carolina is more than just a typical summer camp. Our campers are eager to explore the world around them, and we provide them an opportunity to do so in a safe and supportive environment. Our campers learn to appreciate nature and gain self-confidence as they venture off on outdoor adventures. We offer a wide array of activities such as rock climbing, river rafting, and hiking, allowing campers to discover the beauty of the natural world. With our experienced staff members and carefully crafted activities, Camp Carolina is the ultimate summer paradise for boys.
At Camp High Rocks, we understand the importance of providing boys with a safe and supportive environment to grow and learn. Our experienced staff help to foster growth, independence and resilience in our campers through our traditional, family-owned summer camp. Since 1958, we have been helping parents develop long-term relationships with their children by providing them with the chance to take part in activities of their own choice, and by setting and achieving personal goals. We recognize the sense of accomplishment that comes with mastering a new skill or spending time away from home, which is why we strive to give our campers the opportunity to embark on a life-changing journey.
Nancy Barnum Clarke was passionate about providing a unique experience for the young women who came to Rockbrook. She was inspired by the nature around her to create a camp filled with activities that nurtured a connection to the natural world. Outdoor AdventuresNancy designed activities that would get girls outdoors and exploring. She was a firm believer that the best way to build self-esteem and appreciation for nature was to spend time outdoors. She spearheaded hikes, biking trips, and river rafting adventures. Girls also had the chance to learn how to canoe, cook over a campfire, and do other activities that connected them with nature. Life SkillsNancy was also passionate about developing life skills and encouraging personal growth. She believed that nurturing a sense of self-reliance and self-awareness was just as important as outdoor education. Her program included classes on music, art, and craft making. She also taught lessons on respect, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Girls learned to live together as a community and to take responsibility for their own actions. Nancy Barnum Clarke was a pioneer in the field of outdoor education. Her legacy lives on today in Rockbrook, the camp she established nearly 100 years ago. Her commitment to helping young girls discover the joy and freedom of nature continues to shape the lives of those who visit the camp.
