In the great and grand state of Michigan, where lakes are as plentiful as stars in the sky, there’s a bunch of super talented kids who are part of a secret club called the "Mich-Art-gan Crafters". These kids aren't just ordinary kids, oh no! They are the artists, the creators, the imaginers, and the dreamers who bring joy to life with just a few strokes of their paintbrushes, or a few folds of their origami papers. Leading this group is a cool, funky, and absolutely imaginative character named Pencil Pete. Pete has a magical pencil for a nose, which can draw or create ANYTHING! Need a rainbow? Pete's on it! Want a unicorn with polka-dotted spots? Pete can sketch it in a second! You see, Pete's pencil isn't like any normal pencil. It's powered by the creativity of all Michigan children who love art and crafts! This incredible gang of Mich-Art-gan Crafters can make the most amazing works of art you've ever seen! From sculptures made of snowflakes on the shores of Lake Michigan to murals that can cover the high walls of Detroit's tallest buildings. They are the Picassos, the Van Goghs, and the Da Vincis of the mitten-shaped state! And the funniest thing about this enchanting group of talent? The more they laugh, the more creative they become! It seems like their creativity is fueled by giggles and chuckles. So, you see, there’s never a dull day in Michigan because amidst the lakes and woods, there’s always a child creating, a drawing coming to life, and most importantly, laughter ringing in the air!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

Dance, Music, Creative Expression, and Art are all unique forms of art that come together to create a beautiful collaboration. Dance is a visual expression that uses our bodies to portray emotion and feeling. Music is a more abstract version of the same, using instruments or our voices to communicate our thoughts. Creative Expression uses language, spoken or written, to convey a message, while Art is a visual representation of this message on paper. Aerial Arts is a form of art that allows us to stretch our imaginations and make us feel like we’re flying. Language Arts is a way to explore new places and ideas through literature. Theatre gives us the opportunity to live the life of the stage. Each of these requires us to use all our senses and feel the idea and the depth of the idea. Combining them together allows us to create a unique and powerful art form. Through this collaboration of Dance, Music, Creative Expression, and Art, we are able to bring an artist’s vision to life. Whether it be in the form of prose or poetry, a musical composition, a dance piece, or a visual representation, we are able to create something impactful and meaningful that can be shared with audiences. Together, these forms of art create a thriving production that is sure to please.

At Rosebrook, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for each and every child. We emphasize autonomy, responsibility, and respect, allowing children to develop the skills and confidence to take care of themselves, their peers, and the world around them. We recognize that fostering mutual respect and strong relationships is the key to making our center feel like a second home for our families. Our mission at Rosebrook is to offer a secure and supportive atmosphere for children. Our program encourages autonomy, responsibility, and respectful behavior, so children can learn to look after themselves, others, and their environment. Above all, we believe that building meaningful connections and fostering respect between ourselves and our families are essential to creating a home away from home.
