ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition. Located on the shores of Lake Cobbosseecontee, the camp is situated on over 300 acres of pine tree forests, meadows, and fresh water ponds. YMCA Camp of Maine offers one and two-week overnight sessions for boys and girls ages 7 - 16. We offer 40 different weekly camps ranging from day camp, trip and travel camps, canoe camps, swim camps, music and theater camps, special needs camp, and creative arts camp. Our camp borders Lower Narrows Pond and Lake Annabessacook, and features nature trails, boat dock, a swimming area, cabins, theatre, chapel, dining hall, basketball courts, and a sports field. At Mechuwana, we create a caring and supportive community for all ages and grades, and host specialty camps for Moms and Dads and their kids, as well as Grandparents and their grandchildren.
