The state of Maine, often referred to as ME by its local inhabitants, is a magical land hugged by the Atlantic Ocean on its eastern fringes, and guarded by majestic forests, hills, and sparkling rivers. This splendid geography makes ME—a popular nickname given by Professor Puffin, a comically feathered, monocled, and top-hatted bird character—the perfect place for young adventurers to engage in all sorts of water activities. 

Imagine a group of plucky kids, known as the "Lobster Squad" for their red sun hats, out there on a sunny day. They slide into shiny kayaks, with their faces beaming with excitement as bright as the summer sun. They paddle under the watchful eye of Professor Puffin, who, despite being a bird, is ironically terrible at swimming.

Then there are the kiddos that prefer to grab their fishing poles, and with bated breath and twinkling eyes, wait for a fish to bite. They often engage in hilarious debates about who will catch the biggest fish, or rather, the biggest seaweed, much to Professor Puffin's amusement. 

Let's not forget the little daredevils who strap on their life jackets and leap into the ocean, their laughter echoing across the waves as they bob like apples in the sea. Their mission: to find the legendary aquatic moose, a mythical creature invented by Professor Puffin. 

Despite their different water pursuits, all these kids have one thing in common: a love for the sparkling blue that surrounds the magical state of ME. So, if you ever find yourself in the Land of Lobsters and Lighthouses, grab your sun hat and join the Lobster Squad, because in ME, the water is always just right for an adventure.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

The multi-purpose center offers a variety of stores and restaurants to choose from. From clothing stores, to hair salons, to coffee shops, you're sure to find something that suits your needs. There's also plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, so you can rest assured that you won't go hungry.

Finally, the multi-purpose center is not just a great place to shop and eat, but also a great place to relax and unwind. There's plenty of seating and relaxing areas, so you can take a break from your day and just enjoy the atmosphere. Whether you want to take a break from shopping or just want to enjoy some peace and quiet, this center has something for everyone.

Westbrook Community Center

Fernwood Cove is a place where girls can be themselves and explore their potential. With a focus on age-appropriate skill development and personal growth, Fernwood Cove is a place where the possibilities are endless. From the intentional program, inclusive community, and supportive staff, your daughter will have an amazing summer that she will never forget. Girls ages 7-15 and teens ages 16-18 have the opportunity to explore their independence, build strong relationships, and develop self-confidence.

Dr. George Alexander Kohut, a literary scholar and educator with a vision to provide a healthy and character-building outdoor experience, founded Kamp Kohut in 1907. Coming from the heat and pollution of the city, he ran a boys' school in New York, hence calling it "Kohut's School for Boys".

At Kamp Kohut, we pay special attention to the individual qualities of each camper. We understand that each child has different needs and interests and we strive to make sure that all campers have a truly special summer experience. We provide close supervision and carefully orchestrated detail to ensure that each child’s camp experience is successful.

At Camp Tapawingo, we are a close-knit family of campers and staff members. Our campers learn to camp, paddle the lazy Saco River, and explore the rugged trails of Maine in preparation for more challenging hikes and white water rafting. Through our camp community, our campers build strong connections and deep relationships that will last a lifetime. 

At Camp Tapawingo, we believe in the value of exploration and adventure. We provide our campers with the opportunity to discover the beauty of the Maine outdoors, from the lazy Saco River to the summit of Mount Katahdin. With trips to the Ogunquit region of the Maine coast and Montreal, our campers are exposed to a variety of experiences to help them grow and develop. 

Our campers leave Camp Tapawingo with a sense of belonging and a wealth of memories. By fostering a camp community that encourages open communication, mutual respect, and accountability, we create an atmosphere that allows our campers to create deep relationships and lasting connections.

At Camp Takajo, we maintain a traditional camp experience that is focused on teaching and reinforcing the twelve Arch Ideals. These ideals are at the center of camp life and serve as a guide for our campers and staff members. Our goal is to provide a program that promotes the development of character and personal growth in a safe and positive environment.

The 12 Arch Ideals are integral to the Camp Takajo experience. These ideals form the foundation of our camp and are the cornerstone of our program. They are emulated by our staff and embraced by our campers. The ideals are reinforced throughout camp in both formal and informal settings, from educational assemblies and campfires to daily interactions. They provide the guiding principles for all of our campers and staff, setting the tone for a positive and meaningful summer experience.

Camp Takajo

Abraham and Gertrude Krasker, a professor and teacher from Essex College, had a dream to own a summer camp of their own. They found the perfect spot, a farm nestled in Fryeburg, ME and opened the doors of Indian Acres Camp for Boys in 1924. Two years later, Forest Acres Camp for Girls opened two miles down the road. 

When Abraham passed in 1962, their son Dick took over ownership and management of both camps. With his wife Sandy, Dick ran camp until 1998 when it was purchased by Lisa and Geoff Newman. The Newmans were determined to keep the Krasker's legacy alive and with the help of Neal and Julie Waldman, their dream became a reality. 

Today, Indian and Forest Acres is a thriving summer camp thanks to the hard work of the Newman family. Almost 100 years after its founding, the camp continues to honor the traditions and vision of its founders, Abe and Gertrude Krasker.

Our diverse programs encourage everyone to be themselves, learn from those around them and to make good decisions. And with such activities as overnight camping, day camps, hunter safety camps, wilderness discovery trips, and multi-week leadership programs, there’s something for everyone. Welcome to the Spark PA programs and classes, a magical world of learning nestled on our beautiful 6-acre property in the charming town of Kunkletown, Pennsylvania. Our unique campus is home to a range of exciting facilities, all designed to inspire and engage young minds. We have something for everyone, providing a safe and stimulating environment where your kids can learn, grow, and thrive.

One of the highlights of our property is the Alappat Atelier, an incredible art studio where the celebrated artist Sebastian Alappat works. This is a place where creativity comes alive and children are always thrilled to step into this vibrant space. From massive fossilized dinosaur pieces to an entire section dedicated to Alice in Wonderland, and a fantastic collection of comic book art, there's plenty to ignite their imagination. The studio is well-equipped with all the necessary art supplies, spacious tables, and abundant natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

We understand that comfort is essential for both kids and parents. That is why we've ensured that our facilities include a separate waiting area for parents, offering a space for you to relax while your child is busy exploring their creativity. For added convenience, there are also two restrooms on the premises and a picturesque outdoor sitting area where you can soak up the serene surroundings.
