He sketches sunsets that look like splashes of sherbet across the sky, and paints pine forests so vivid, you can almost smell the fresh, crisp air. And what about the cheeky Chipmunk Charlie, who uses acorns as his canvas, creating mini masterpieces that make everyone chuckle? He's famous for his squirrel portraits, with their nutty expressions and bushy tail details. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Since 1936, Hog Island Audubon Camp has been providing adults, families and teens with a unique educational experience. Each summer, campers are led by respected naturalists and environmental educators, inspiring future scientists, educators, and conservation leaders. The special history of the camp and island will be explored in the coming years, as we celebrate 80 years of the camp’s existence. Hog Island Audubon Camp is a special place where you can connect with nature and learn about the history of the island and camp. Chop Point is a non-profit Christian organization that operates multiple ministries around the world. We offer a summer camp in Maine for teenagers from all over the world, a K-12 school in Maine for local students, including a small boarding program, as well as a summer camp in Nicaragua serving disadvantaged children and functioning as a social service project for school and church groups from the U.S. To make our programs as accessible as possible, we rely on outside donations from former campers, students, staff, and friends. Their support has been essential in making major improvements to the grounds, facilities, and equipment. We encourage you to come and experience Chop Point for yourself. We welcome visitors any time and are always happy to show off the amazing work that we do here. Fees are kept as affordable as possible, so anyone can join in the fun.
