Mass Motion Dance was founded in 1983 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts under the direction of Terri Gordon. Terri was a former member of the Boston Ballet and Tanz Forum in Cologne, Germany. She is passionate about teaching dance and is driven to develop each student’s technique to its highest level. In 2003, the Boston studio opened under the direction of Irada Djelassi and in 2017 the MMD Metro West opened its doors in Medfield, MA under the direction and ownership of Irada Djelassi and Alexis Stansky Murphy. Irada and Alexis bring their own unique experiences and energy to the studio and continue to foster and develop the students in their technical and artistic goals. At Mass Motion Dance, we strive to provide the highest quality of dance training to our students. Our experienced faculty consists of professional dancers, choreographers and instructors from all over the world. We are dedicated to providing a fun and challenging learning environment for our students. We believe that our students should be well rounded in their training and have a strong foundation in classical ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop and tap. We also offer a variety of specialized classes and workshops to ensure our students have the opportunity to excel in their chosen art form.
