In the whimsical, winding state of Massachusetts, there lies a mighty legion of math maestros, known as the Master Number Ninjas. And, oh boy, do these kids love their numbers! They crunch them for breakfast, lunch, and even as a mid-afternoon snack. In between the historical, red-brick buildings of Boston, the sandy beaches of Cape Cod, and the majestic Berkshire Mountains, these math prodigies are stealthily working on their flurry of figures.

Leading the pack is their fearless champion, Sir Sum-a-lot, a funky yet wise wizard who wields a magical abacus. He is the ultimate mathematician, calculator, and part-time cookie biscuit baker! Sir Sum-a-lot has one rule, "We don't fear big numbers, we tame them!” Oh, and he also has a soft spot for jellybeans, preferably the ones divisible by two! 

The kids in Massachusetts, or as Sir Sum-a-lot likes to call them, the "Master-usetts", love exploring the world of numbers. They know their times tables like they know the lyrics to their favorite pop songs. They can solve equations faster than a hungry seagull swooping for a discarded hot dog on Revere Beach. And when it comes to fractions, they can split a pizza into equal parts faster than you can say, "Pepperoni, please!" 

These Master-usetts are not just normal kids, they are math warriors, ready to battle any number that dares to cross their path. So next time you're in Massachusetts, listen closely. You might just hear the faint sound of their rallying cry, "E=MC Squared!", as they march into another exciting mathematical adventure.

In 1986, the NBCCC became the Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB).  For the next 30 years, CCB worked diligently to provide quality child care and early education programs, support for family child care providers, and referrals to families in need. In 2017, CCB moved to its current location, located in a beautiful, renovated building in downtown North Adams. This move allowed CCB to expand the services it provides to families, providers, and the community.

For over 50 years, the Northern Berkshire Child Care Committee and Child Care of the Berkshires have been serving the families of Northern Berkshire County. Founded in 1969 by a group of committed women, NBCCC was born out of the need for daycare in the area. They temporarily took up residence in a church on Monument Square before eventually relocating to the Haskins Elementary School.

During these early years, they managed to build a network of family child care providers, funded through donations, the Northern Berkshire United Way, and a contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 1986, the NBCCC rebranded as the Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB).

For the last three decades, CCB has worked tirelessly to provide quality child care and early education programs, in addition to support for family child care providers and referrals for those in need. In 2017, CCB moved to its current location in North Adams. This move enabled CCB to increase their services to families, providers, and the surrounding community.

For the last 50 years, the Northern Berkshire Child Care Committee and Child Care of the Berkshires have been an integral part of the Northern Berkshire County community. Through their dedication and commitment to providing quality child care and early education programs, they have been able to make a positive impact on countless families in the area.

Peanuts Daycare

Located at 23 Pine Street in Milford, MA, CCC provides a safe and supportive environment for children from infants through 12 years of age. Open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, CCC is part of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Milford. The teachers have been certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and are committed to providing the highest quality of care and education for the children. They are also required to participate in regular training's to ensure they are equipped to provide the best possible experience.

Evergreen Center was founded in 1982 by Dr. Robert F. Littleton, Jr., with the goal of providing a supportive learning and living environment for children and adolescents with autism and severe developmental disabilities. The center utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis as the foundation for its instructional technologies, with the aim of developing communication, basic academic, self-care, and social interaction skills. These fundamental abilities are essential for students to transition to less restrictive settings and lead a high quality life. Through the implementation of evidence-based practices, the Evergreen Center strives to ensure that all students reach their maximum potential.

Kim and Dolores wanted to ensure that Wee Care provided the best care and education possible for all families.
