Rock climbing is their game, and they’re not just good, they're unbelievably incredible! Every rippling river and towering tree they pass waves hello, and even the squirrels stop their chitter chatter to watch in awe. Among them is their fearless leader, a spry, absolutely unflappable youngster named Billy Boulder. Now, Billy is not your run-of-the-mill boy. No, sir! He owns a magical backpack that never runs out of energy bars and a pair of sneakers that squeak out climbing tips in a goofy, cartoonish voice. "Don’t forget to stretch!" they'd squawk, sending all the kids into peals of laughter. Every weekend, these brave kids conquer the craggy landscapes of their beloved Bay State, from the rocky shores of Cape Cod to the steep cliffs of the Berkshire Mountains. With helmets as shiny as disco balls and hearts filled with giggles, they'd scramble up the rocks, their laughter echoing louder than a pack of hyenas at a comedy show! Each triumph, each new peak reached, was celebrated with a victory dance, often leading to more laughs and a few harmless tumbles. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
At Sunset Point Camp, children can learn to be independent while gaining new skills and interests. From swimming and boating to arts and crafts, campers can explore a variety of activities that help them develop healthy habits. Through team sports and other activities, children can also learn the importance of friendship and how to work together. Campers also receive academic summer support to help them keep up with their studies and be prepared for the upcoming school year. In addition, Sunset Point Camp offers special events such as ice cream socials and a treasure night, where campers can make memories with their friends and counselors. At Sunset Point Camp, children have the opportunity to develop independence, new passions, healthy habits, and lasting friendships. Whether they want to learn a new skill or make friends, campers can have a fun and meaningful summer experience.
