Once upon a time, in the magical realm of MA (short for Massachusetts but cooler to say), there lived a vibrant bunch of kids. Now, these weren't your average ice-cream-loving, tree-climbing, cartoon-watching kids. Nah-ah! These were the Melodious Munchkins of MA, famed far and wide for their enchanting vocal prowess. Each Melodious Munchkin had a voice as unique as a snowflake - some as deep as the Atlantic Ocean, some as high as the Berkshire Mountains, and others as smooth as the finest Boston cream pie. The moment they opened their mouths, the birds would pause their tweets, the wind would halt its whistles, and even the chatty Charles River would hush to listen. The leader of this merry band was a cool imaginary character called Mozzie the Musical Moose, whose voice was as big as his heart. Mozzie wasn’t your average moose. He wore sunglasses even at night, had a tuft of hair that he called a 'moose-hawk' and strutted around in shiny red sneakers. He was funny and had a laugh that sounded like a mix of a hiccup and a sneeze, which made everyone else laugh too. The MA Melodious Munchkins and Mozzie spent their days exploring the sonorous secrets of this musical state. They sang in the shower, they sang while eating clam chowder, and they even had competitions to see who could hit the highest note on the Bunker Hill Monument. Their voices brought joy and color to the already vibrant realm of MA, making it a hundred times more magical!

For more than 25 years, The Dance Complex has been a community center for dance, offering a variety of classes, workshops, and performances that foster creative and physical development. Parents, if you are looking for a place to get your kids into the wonderful world of dance, look no further than The Dance Complex. This 1884-circa, five-story building is the perfect setting for dance classes, workshops and performances. Originally built as meeting rooms for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a philanthropic fraternal brotherhood, the building was used in the mid-to-late 20th century as aerobic/fitness and dance studios known as Joy of Movement Center. When the fitness entity experienced financial problems and closed its doors in 1991, a group of local dance-makers led by founder Rozann Kraus negotiated with the City of Cambridge and lending institutions to maintain the building as a dance center. Since then, The Dance Complex has provided a safe and nurturing atmosphere for young dancers to explore and develop their craft. The Dance Complex offers a range of classes and workshops for all ages and levels of skill. Kids can get involved in ballet, hip hop, jazz, modern and tap classes, as well as master classes and performances. The Dance Complex is the perfect place for kids to get creative and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
