The Home for Little Wanderers has a long history of providing essential services to the community, starting as an orphanage in 1799. Today, they offer over 25 programs that help families and children in need. These programs include behavioral and mental health services, therapeutic residential care, family treatment and support, foster care and adoption, special education and programs for older youth aging out of the system. These services all come from the combination of five child welfare organizations: Boston Children’s Services, The New England Home for Little Wanderers, Parents’ and Children’s Services, Charles River Health Management and Wediko Children’s Services. For over two centuries, The Home for Little Wanderers has been a vital part of the community, providing help and support to those in need.

Cooper Community Center has been a vital resource for the Greater Roxbury and its surrounding neighborhoods, providing educational programs for under-served children and their families. This center offers an infant and toddler program that caters to children from one month to two years and eight months. These programs are designed to foster development and growth, as well as to provide the children with an opportunity for a brighter future. The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center is committed to helping young children in the Greater Roxbury area. Through their infant and toddler program, they provide educational experiences that focus on development and growth, as well as creating opportunities for a successful future. This program has been in place for nearly a hundred years, and has been a source of comfort and hope for many families in the community throughout the years.

Our innovative program brings students and communities together to explore the justice system and the ideals of justice. Through our interactive workshops and programs, we support students in gaining a deeper understanding of the justice system and the importance of civic engagement. We also provide resources to help them develop the knowledge and skills they need to become active participants in our democracy. The Blackstone Community Center is proud to open its doors to families living in Boston. Our facility and programs are available for anyone in the area to use, and community groups, agencies, and organizations can take advantage of the Center for their activities. We offer a wide range of programs for all ages, including GED classes, Women’s Self-Defense classes, a Toddler Play Group, a Karate class, an After-School Program, a Swim Team, and a Basketball League.
