The Peach Pits are led by a spunky, red-haired hero named Gus. With his freckle-splashed cheeks and ever-present denim overalls, Gus is an unlikely leader, yet he possesses an uncanny knack for strategy in the Gaga Ball arena. His sidekick is an enormous, fuzzy, three-legged dog named Biscuit, who, despite missing a leg, could outrun even the quickest Peach Pit. The rest of the Peach Pits are an eclectic bunch. There's Turbo Tasha, a speed-demon with pigtails who's been known to somersault her way out of the tightest spots. And don't forget about Silent Sal, the giant with a smile as big as his heart, whose sneak-attack tactics are legendary. Lastly, there's Mabel, the brains of the operation, who can predict an opponent's move faster than you can say "peach cobbler." These kids are the Gaga Ball champions of Georgia, each day tussling under the Southern sun, amidst the cheery chirping of cicadas.
