The kids who participate in this high-octane activity are not just ordinary kids; they are the daring heroes of the Gaga Ball universe, a band of misfit adventurers known as "The Peach Pits." The Peach Pits are led by a spunky, red-haired hero named Gus. With his freckle-splashed cheeks and ever-present denim overalls, Gus is an unlikely leader, yet he possesses an uncanny knack for strategy in the Gaga Ball arena. His sidekick is an enormous, fuzzy, three-legged dog named Biscuit, who, despite missing a leg, could outrun even the quickest Peach Pit. The rest of the Peach Pits are an eclectic bunch. There's Turbo Tasha, a speed-demon with pigtails who's been known to somersault her way out of the tightest spots. And don't forget about Silent Sal, the giant with a smile as big as his heart, whose sneak-attack tactics are legendary. Lastly, there's Mabel, the brains of the operation, who can predict an opponent's move faster than you can say "peach cobbler." These kids are the Gaga Ball champions of Georgia, each day tussling under the Southern sun, amidst the cheery chirping of cicadas. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

For over 40 years, we’ve been providing children aged 5-10 with a fun, safe, and enriching experience during our summer, fall, and spring break sessions. Our counselors are all passionate and experienced elementary school teachers and college students, who are excited to make your child’s experience one to remember. At Josh Powell Camp, your child will be able to take part in activities such as swimming, fishing, canoeing, archery, and more. With the help of our counselors, your child will be able to let their imaginations run wild and create memories that will last a lifetime.
