Florida, the Sunshine State, is a land where the sun shines brighter than a kid's eyes on Christmas morning. It's so hot even the alligators take a dip in the swimming pool to cool off. Okay, that doesn't happen very often, but you get the idea. It's a paradise of palm trees, funky flamingos and miles of sandy beaches. Now imagine this, in the heart of this tropical paradise, there’s a lively group of kids, known as the Zumba Zoomers! Led by Captain Zumba, a funky flamingo with the funkiest dance moves, these kids are full of energy, ready to dance their hearts out. Picture this, a flamingo wearing a neon headband, 80's style leg warmers, and grooving to the beat like there's no tomorrow. That’s Captain Zumba for you! Every day, under the golden Florida sun, kids from all corners of the state join the Captain in a whirlwind of laughter, music, and Zumba. They move like a pack of kangaroos on a trampoline, laughing and wiggling to the rhythm of the music. Captain Zumba's laughter rings loud and clear, echoing through the air and setting flamingos aflutter. From Miami to Orlando, kids of all ages, sizes, and dance levels come together to join this jiggy-jig-journey. They are like Florida oranges — some are a little sour, some sweet, but when you mix them up for Zumba, they make the tastiest, juiciest blend of fun. So if you ever find yourself in the Sunshine State, don't miss out on the party. Grab your dancing shoes, bring your energy drink, and join Captain Zumba and the Zumba Zoomers for a dance-a-thon under the Florida sun!

At our university, the Field House was recently completed in October 2015 as a total renovation of the Aquatic Center. The $5.1 million, 26,000 sq. ft. facility is located conveniently between the Student Wellness Complex and Arena on the north end of campus. The Field House provides an excellent space for our university's Intramural Sports program, where all indoor sports take place. It is also the hub for informal recreation such as basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, badminton and pickleball. Students can take advantage of the Field House and its many recreational activities for hours of fun and enjoyment. Our university's Field House is a great resource for students and the community. It is a place for both competitive sports and recreational activities. With the completion of the renovation, the Field House has become a true asset to our university and a great addition to the campus.
