Just like the state they lived in, they were vibrant, full of life, and bursting with creativity. Florida, their magical playground, was filled with the lush Everglades, endless sandy beaches, and the most magical place on Earth, Disney World. Just like their surroundings, the Art Avengers' creations were never dull. From the flamingo pink sunsets they painted to the sea-green mermaids they sculpted, their artworks were as colorful as the state itself. Leading the Art Avengers was Doodle Dandy, a cheeky Chameleon with the power to change colors. Doodle Dandy, with his palette of tropical hues, would inspire the kids with his wacky impressions. One second he'd be flamingo pink, the next he would turn into a vibrant orange, then a soothing sea-blue, leaving the kids laughing till their bellies ached. Welcome to Taylor Art Studio in Tampa Heights! Our 4,100 square foot art facility is located on the border of the scenic Calvin Taylor Park. We’re proud to offer a wide range of both pottery and glass classes here, with our core programs in pottery on the wheel and fused glass. In our pottery studio, we have a gas Raku kiln, five electric kilns, ten electric wheels, two extruders, a slab roller, glaze-spraying equipment, molds, forms, an assortment of tools and dozens of glazes - all available for purchase. Our glass studio is also well-equipped, with several kilns, various saws, grinders, lap wheel, strip and circle cutters, solder irons, and tools - all of which are also available for purchase. For those who want to explore other craft mediums, we offer Cross-Over Crafts and Fun Friday mini workshops. After several years of attending workshops and building relationships with the owners, Jennifer was offered the opportunity to take the reins of the workshop. She quickly accepted and began to transition into the role of workshop owner. Jennifer Holden is the new owner of AR Workshop Tampa and she couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity. After relocating to Tampa with her husband, Wes, in 2005, Jennifer and her family have been happily living in the area for the past 17 years. With 3 amazing children, Aiden, Charley, and Parker, Jennifer had always been looking for an activity to do that was both fun and creative. When she stumbled upon AR Workshop Tampa in 2018, Jennifer fell in love with the shop's positive energy and creative atmosphere. She found it to be her “happy place” and enjoyed attending workshops and making beautiful home decor with her friends. Jennifer's dedication and enthusiasm were soon recognized by the workshop owners, and in 2022 she was offered the chance to take the reins. She accepted, and since then has been transitioning into her new role as the proud owner of AR Workshop Tampa.
