The Champion Course at PGA National Resort in South Florida's Palm Beach Gardens is one of the most iconic golf courses in the country. Abacoa Golf Club is thrilled to announce an upcoming three-month renovation project this summer. During this time, the club will be restoring the greens back to their original size, utilizing the same TifEagle grass to ensure a seamless match to the remaining surface. Additionally, we are reducing the severity of the slope on the 13th green and renovating the bunkers with G-Angle sand for the highest quality sand. To top it off, a new irrigation system will be installed to optimize turf quality. Unfortunately, there may be some inconvenience during this time, and we ask for your patience and understanding. The Little Linksters Golf Academy was founded by PGA Professional Brendon Elliott in 2008 as a backyard training facility. It has since grown to include multiple locations across Central Florida. The first golf course location was Winter Park Golf Course in Winter Park, FL, where the academy remained until 2011 when Elliott transitioned to teaching full time. Little Linksters then found roots at Metrowest Golf Club in Orlando, FL, and in 2013, moved to Wekiva Golf Club in Longwood, FL. Elliott's new position at the Golf Academy of America allowed students to work with the Little Linksters staff and learn how to teach the age group of 3-8-year old’s, while programming at Wekiva came online in September of 2013.
