Within the cozy pictorial borders of Connecticut, a squad of sharp-eyed, steady-handed kids known as the CT Cadets have mastered the art of riflery. Picture this: a radiant state, with everything from sparkling lakes to dense forests and vibrant cities. Located in the Northeastern part of the U.S, Connecticut is a small state with a BIG personality, just like our hero - a raccoon named Rocky. Now meet Rocky, a raccoon with a raccoon-sized rifle. Don't worry, it only shoots marshmallows for safety reasons. He's the grandmaster of the CT Cadets, a bunch of kids who aim to be the best at riflery. With their safety goggles on and marshmallow rifles at the ready, these kids are as eager as a squirrel on sugar. They meet every Saturday at the Sunny Side Range, a magical training ground where the targets look suspiciously like gummy bears. Rocky, with his mask-like bandit markings, is not only mischievous but also a whiz with the marshmallow rifle. He learned his skills from Grandpappy Rackety Raccoon who was legendary for shooting walnuts at invading squirrels. Rocky passes on his wisdom to the Cadets, teaching them patience, precision, and the perfect marshmallow trajectory. Also, that eating your ammunition is not the best strategy. You see, Connecticut may be known for its gorgeous scenery and historical landmarks, but to the CT Cadets, it's the homeland of marshmallow riflery, where they can be found honing their skills, laughing, and occasionally exclaiming, "Hey, who ate my ammo?" And so, the legend of Rocky and the CT Cadets continues, one marshmallow rifle round at a time.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
