This unique martial art involves dodges, kicks, and takedowns mixed with acrobatics and dance-like movements. It’s a great way to build physical and mental strength, flexibility, and confidence, and it’s open to students of any age, size, and ability level. At the forefront of Capoeira in the US is Mestrando Chin, aka Daniel Yoshimi. Born in Santos, Brazil, he began training under Mestre Eros of Sul da Bahia in 1995. Mestrando Chin has an uncanny ability to connect with and teach both children and adults, and is highly respected among the Capoeira community. He has been a great ambassador for the discipline, bringing it to many countries all over the world.
