These lovable and slightly loony kids are headed by their fearless leader, a 10-year-old girl named Sally "Super-Soaker" Solstice. You can always recognize Sally by her ever-present baseball cap, the one plastered with stickers from every sports team in California, and her limitless energy that could probably power half of San Francisco. Sally's spirit is so infectious, that even the laziest of them, Timmy "Too-Tired" Thompson, gets off his couch and finds himself in the middle of a soccer match or a friendly game of baseball. Whether they're kicking soccer balls at the park, swinging baseball bats in the field, or shooting hoops on the beach, these kids put their hearts into every game they play. Their laughter echoes across the state, louder than the roars of the mountain lions in Yosemite. He has experience in all aspects of the game, from individual and group lessons to match play and strategy. He also has expertise in teaching various styles, from junior to adult, beginner to elite. Ross is passionate about tennis and enjoys helping players reach their goals.
Stonegate Striders is Stonegate Elementary School's training and racing program for Kids Run the OC (the OC Marathon's Kid Race). Starting in February, Stonegate Striders will run and train while tracking their mileage. The students will walk/run an average of 1 mile every Friday after school and 1 mile a week for homework. Our goal is for each student to accomplish running an accumulated mileage of 25.2 miles during the 10 weeks of training (February-April).
