Between mouthfuls of his favorite jelly bean sandwich, Captain Bouncy Bob would passionately declare, "Gravity! Pfft, that's for ordinary folks." He had a peculiar way of traveling around the state. You guessed it - on an insanely gigantic, ever-buoyant trampoline. From the misty mountains of Yosemite to the twinkling cityscape of San Francisco, the Captain and his buoyant brigade bounced their way across California, turning heads and inciting giggles, leaving a trail of bewitched, would-be bouncers in their wake. Their trampolining wasn't just for kicks; it was a way of life. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Parents looking for a way to help their children stay active can check out our progressive classes in Parkour & Freerunning. Our Academy takes pride in providing a strong foundation for the students in our program, and to that end, we have testing sessions every ten weeks to assess each student’s mastery of the set skills. Upon completion of the assessment, they will be placed into the appropriate band, which unlocks a new level of classes. At our Academy, we are proud to offer a comprehensive Parkour & Freerunning program that is designed to challenge your child. Through our unique Tempest curriculum, your child will gain the foundational skills needed to advance in the program. Every ten weeks, a testing session is held to evaluate each student’s progress and assign them to their appropriate band. This band will provide them with access to the next level of classes.
