Dear Families, Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people. Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment. At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new. Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Today, 1 in 68 children are living with this disability, and GACA has a vision to use golf to facilitate social interaction and skills in these children. Initially started by Rich Amano, Charlene Marson, and Tammy Marson, GACA is actively targeting and executing events and activities to facilitate its mission, “Building Life Skills Through Golf.” Currently, GACA is working in close collaboration with volunteers to promote and expand its mission. GACA was formed in 2011 with the goal of aiding and supporting children with autism in improving their social, motor, coordination, and golf skills. Recent estimates indicate that 1 in 68 children are living with autism, and GACA has developed a plan to use golf as a tool for helping with social interaction and skill development. This organization was originally started by Rich Amano, Charlene Marson, and Tammy Marson, and GACA has taken a number of steps to realize its vision. Currently, GACA is working with volunteers to expand its mission of “Building Life Skills Through Golf.” GACA was established in 2011 with the mission of providing assistance and support to children with autism in the areas of social, motor, and coordination skills, as well as golf. Surfin Fire has been in business since 1997, offering family-friendly surfing experiences. Privately permitted and insured, the business is owned and operated by the passionate Jon Peterson. He loves nothing more than sharing the joys of surfing with others, and can often be seen on the sand teaching lessons or coaching school kids. JP's daughters are also devoted surfers and have recently achieved top honors in the ISF & WSA competition series. This is a great source of pride for JP, and he's always there to encourage them as they continue to improve their skills. At Surfin Fire, JP is dedicated to making the surfing experience safe and enjoyable for people of all ages. At Carlsbad Dance Centre, we believe that all kids should have access to professional dance instruction at an affordable price. Our annual Dance Recital is the highlight of the year and provides an opportunity for outstanding long-term students to be recognized with awards. The Recital is held in a stunning concert theater, and students have further chances to show off their skills with performances in the area, at dance conferences, and at regional and national competitions. We’re proud to be a part of Carlsbad Dance Centre, where we strive to make professional dance instruction accessible and affordable for all children. At IceTown Carlsbad, we use the Learn To Skate USA program for our Skating Academy. The Learn To Skate USA program is designed to be the best beginner’s ice skating program that serves the needs of both the recreational and competitive skater. Through this program, our coaching staff helps skaters achieve their goals, whether they be Olympic fame or simply to enjoy the recreational benefits of skating. Classes are grouped by age and ability and depending on your level, classes are 30 minutes. There are five weeks during the year that classes are not held: Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year. The monthly payments are due every month and are based on an average of 47 classes per year.
