The most gallant, graceful and gleaming horses you've ever seen! Our heroes spend their time racing up mossy mountains, cantering through candy-colored wildflowers, and trotting along the twinkling rivers. Their laughter echoes through the valleys as they play their favorite game of "Tag, you're it!" with the squirrels, who are surprisingly good at the game. Their leader is a girl named Maddy "Mad Cap" McCoy, a freckle-faced firecracker with hair as red as a West Virginia sunset. She rides a horse named Thunderbolt, famous for his lightning speed and quirky dance moves. Together, they lead the Horseback Heroes on incredible adventures, exploring haunted coal mines, chasing after mermaids in the New River, and playing hide and seek with the mischievous mountain trolls. Oh, the tales they can tell!
