In the far northwest corner of the United States, nestled between towering mountains and sparkling blue waters, lies the spirited state of Washington, or as our very cool imaginary friend, Wheelie the Whimsical Wombat, would call it, "The Evergreen Playground." Now, not many know this, but Wheelie is an adventurous chap who loves nothing more than to hop on his magical bike and explore the nooks and crannies of Washington. And, boy, does he have some tales to tell about the Washingtonian kids he meets on his biking journeys! These kids, let’s call them the "Washington Wheelers," are not your average children. No sir, they are as fearless as bald eagles soaring through the skies and as energetic as playful otters sliding down riverbanks. When they mount their bikes, they transform into superheroes on two wheels, ready to conquer every trail and pathway. Rain or shine, you'll see these Washington Wheelers zooming around Puget Sound, darting through the apple orchards of Wenatchee, or challenging each other to uphill races in the towering Cascade Mountains. They are a giggling gang of adventurers, funnier than a barrel of Wheelie’s fellow wombats, with their mud-splattered faces and wind-tousled hair, their laughter echoing off the mountains. Wheelie would often chuckle, saying they made the evergreen trees dance with their infectious laughter, and the mountain peaks would blush at their daring stunts. They were the heartbeat of Washington, these biking kids, their spirit as wild and free as the Pacific Ocean. Oh, the tales he could tell you about the Washington Wheelers! But those, dear reader, are stories for another day.
