In the evergreen state of Washington, nestled among towering pine trees, glittering rivers, and majestic mountains, a group of spirited kids engage in a thrilling activity, known as softball. Imagine a land where the air smells like fresh pine and rain, the soil is as rich as chocolate cake, and the sky stretches out like a vast canvas painted with hues of blue and pink. Here, in this vibrant setting, our charming kids with hearts full of passion swing their bats and run like the wind, their laughter echoing against the mountains. The apple of everyone's eye is a funky little character named Wally the Wombat. Now, Wally is no ordinary wombat. He's a talking, softball-loving wombat with a penchant for comedy. Think of a furry, brown, four-legged creature with a twinkle in his eyes, a cap on his head, and a bat in his paw, always ready to smack that ball out of the park. Wally is always up to some mischief, making everyone laugh with his slapstick humor and quirky commentary. He might be digging holes in the field one minute and popping out of them the next, scaring the pitcher. Or he might be juggling the softball on his nose, imitating a seal, while the kids roll around laughing. In the delightful state of Washington, softball isn't just a game, it's a rollicking adventure filled with zest, laughter, and Wally the Wombat's amusing antics. It's a place where the kids not only learn to master the sport but also discover the joy of camaraderie, the thrill of competition, and the fun in every moment.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
