Vermont, a land of maple syrup, cheddar cheese, and brilliant fall foliage, is home to the funkiest dance troop in the country, a group of kids who can Zumba like nobody's business. But these aren't just your average Zumba-enthusiasts, oh no, these are the VeeTee Zumba Zoomers. Our story properly begins in the town of Montpeelior (locals insist it has an extra 'e' for 'extraordinaire'). Here in the heart of Vermont, sprinkled between the rolling green hills and sparkling blue lakes, are a bunch of kids who could give a samba dancer a run for their money. These whippersnappers have danced so much, their sneakers have more miles than a minivan on a cross-country trip! Their leader, Sir Shimmy Shake, is a purple moose who wears neon leg warmers and a sparkly disco ball necklace. He can't exactly speak human lingo, but his zippy Zumba moves communicate all you need to know. He once did the Macarena on top of Mount Mansfield just to watch the sunrise shimmy! Sir Shimmy Shake guides the VeeTee Zumba Zoomers in their groovy endeavors, from the cha-cha slide to the salsa spin. They dance in the sugar-maple groves, next to the babbling brooks, under the evergreen canopy, and sometimes, much to the amusement of the local cows, in the middle of a pasture. These Vermont kiddos have learned that whether it's snowing outside, or the sun is super shiny, or they’re covered head-to-toe in autumn leaves, there's always a good reason to dance. With the help of Sir Shimmy Shake, the VeeTee Zumba Zoomers are blazing a trail across Vermont, one dance step at a time.
