Once upon a time in the heart-shaped state of Tennessee, a place known for great barbecue, country music, and Smokey the Bear, lived a hilarious and spunky goblin named Twinkle Toe-Tappy. This sprightly goblin had a peculiarly unique ability, his toes would twinkle and tap whenever he heard any music, and boy! Tennessee had plenty of that. Now, Tennessee kids are as lively as a fiddle, as friendly as a bluebird, and as talented as the biggest country music star you could think of. And among those, the dance enthusiasts were the most spirited, or as Tappy would say, "as jumpy as a biscuit on a griddle." These kids didn't just dance; they twirled and leaped, swirled and stomped, making every corner of Tennessee echo with their joy. From the bustling streets of Nashville to the peaceful riverbanks of Chattanooga, from the stage of Grand Ole Opry to the green valleys of the Great Smoky Mountains, wherever you went, you'd likely find a kid or two shaking a leg or two. They did ballet, hip hop, jazz, and more importantly, they made their very own Tennessee jig. Tappy loved these kids. He'd often sneak out to join them, his twinkling and tapping toes adding a comical charm to their rhythms. The sight of the funny goblin dancing with the kids brought hearty laughter and amusement to anyone who saw them. In Tappy and the Tennessee kids’ company, dance wasn't just an activity; it was a celebration. It was about letting your spirit fly, and most importantly, about having a rollicking good time. Because in Tennessee, they believed that if your toes ain't twinkling and your heart ain't laughing, you ain't dancing right!
