Once upon a time, in the enchanting state of South Carolina, where the sun shines over the gorgeous beaches and picturesque mountains, lived a group of kids who were not your ordinary bunch. They were a mighty troop of ice skaters, chosen by the one and only, Frosty Flipper himself! Frosty Flipper, a cool, imaginary character, was a penguin who traded the frigid Antarctic for the sunny south. He had one mission - to teach the kids of South Carolina, the thrilling art of ice-skating! Why a penguin, you ask? Well, who better than a bird that spends its life belly-sliding on ice in the Antarctic to teach ice skating? Plus, he was an absolute hoot with his sunglasses, Hawaiian-print shirt, and flip-flops; he was one cool bird! These South Carolina kids weren't just any ice skaters. Oh no, they were the funniest, quirkiest, slip-sliding skaters you ever did see! They twirled, jumped, and laughed until their bellies ached. Each day, they would lace up their skates and hit the ice, while Frosty Flipper waddled around, demonstrating the slickest moves to dazzle the audience. Whether they were slipping, sliding, twirling, or tumbling, these kids never gave up. They picked themselves up, dusted off the frost, and tried again, sharing giggles and jokes all the while. They were a spectacle to behold, a testament to the joy of ice-skating, the spirit of South Carolina, and the laughter that came from the silliest ice-skating lessons from a sun-loving penguin. Their adventures were proof that you don't need snow to have fun on ice; all you need is a wacky penguin guide and a heart full of joy!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
