Rhode Island, fondly referred to as 'Little Rhody', is the smallest state in the United States. But don't let its size fool you! 'Little Rhody' is bursting with charm, beauty and creative opportunities, especially for the little camera whizzes affectionately known as the 'Snap-happy Squad'. The 'Snap-happy Squad' is a group of lively and inquisitive kids. They are constantly on the prowl, armed with their cameras, hunting down the perfect shot. Whether it's the glistening waves at Narragansett Bay, the historic colonial homes in Newport or the vibrant murals in Providence, no picturesque spot in Rhode Island is safe from their prying lens. One of the most unforgettable characters in the squad is a vibrant, freckle-faced redhead named Shutterbug Sally. Sally is a seasoned photography connoisseur, even though she's just ten. She's infamous for her outlandish outfits, usually covered in a multitude of pockets filled with extra lenses, film rolls and at least five different snacks. She can often be found hanging upside down from trees or lying flat on the ground, all in the pursuit of the perfect angle. While her methods may seem quirky, Sally's stunning photographs of Rhode Island’s beauty would make any professional photographer green with envy. Her favorite saying, “Every shot is a shot worth shooting,” fills everyone with laughter and inspiration, adding a spark of creativity to the 'Snap-happy Squad.' Thus, the kids of Rhode Island continue their photographic adventures, adding a dash of color, fun, and laughter to the 'Little Rhody' state.
