In the state of Pennsylvania, a land of twisting rivers, towering cities, and colossal cheese steaks, there exists a distinct group of kids called the "Pennsylvanian Playwright Pals". They're not your average, everyday youngsters, oh no no no! They are as colorful and vibrant as a box of Crayola crayons, which by the way, are also from Pennsylvania. These are the kids with an extraordinary, magical talent for bringing stories to life. They're not wizards, mind you, although their performances could cast a spell on anyone. These are the kids of theater and drama; the maestros of make-believe, the champions of character acting, and the wizards of wordplay - okay, so maybe they are a little bit wizardly. Our lead Playwright Pal, Benny the Bluethroated Baritone, is a boy who can sing a tune so catchy that even the Liberty Bell wants to chime along. Benny's as brave as a Philadelphia Eagle and as hilarious as a groundhog predicting the weather. His pranks on stage make the audience laugh so hard, they almost forget about the time he turned the State Capitol into a giant whoopee cushion. Benny and his friends - including Lucy the Line Learner, who can memorize scripts faster than a cheetah chasing a cheese steak, and Frankie the Funny Face, with expressions so comical he could make a statue chuckle - are the pride of Pennsylvania. They perform their hearts out, going from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia, delighting audiences with their incredible talent and imagination. No matter where you go in the great state of Pennsylvania, you can always find a story being told in the most magical way. Thanks to the Pennsylvanian Playwright Pals, the spirit of drama is alive and well, bringing joy, laughter, and a dash of silliness to everyone they meet.

Wolf Performing Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through learning, experiencing, and creating theatre. We provide students an opportunity to develop their confidence, character, and creativity in a safe, accepting environment, while deepening the community’s appreciation of the performing arts. Wolf Performing Arts Center opened in September 2005, just a few months after our Founder, Bobbi Wolf, retired from teaching. Bobbi started Wolf PAC because “children who create do not destroy” and wanted to give children from many schools and neighborhoods the chance to learn and grow through theatre. Wolf PAC was created for children to have a safe place to gain confidence, character, and creativity and knew how to meet that need. With support from friends, family, and the local community, Bobbi’s dream became a reality and Wolf PAC became a licensed nonprofit organization. Starting with just a handful of classes and three small productions, Wolf PAC has grown to where we are today where hundreds of students are welcomed through our doors each year. Wolf PAC has made this journey because of the community’s trust and support and is renowned as a place that accepts and includes all children. With theatre at the heart of every child’s learning, the curtain at Wolf Performing Arts Center will continue to open for generations of confident, creative children.
