Pennsylvania, or as our freewheeling, carpet-riding storyteller, Auntie Windwhiskers, likes to call it, "The Land of Whispering Rivers," is a wonderland of verdant forests, rolling hills, and abundant wildlife. But the real magic, according to Auntie Windwhiskers, lies in the state's sparkling rivers where daring young adventurers ride their nimble kayaks. Now these aren't just any ordinary kids, mind you. No, these are the "River Rascals" as Auntie Windwhiskers fondly dubs them. These youngsters have the spirit of explorers, the wit of wizards, and the courage of knights. They have hearts the size of the Liberty Bell, and a sense of humor that could make even a grumpy, old groundhog crack a smile. You can spot a River Rascal by their brightly colored helmets, which they swear are enchanted. They paddle with a rhythm that makes the old Susquehanna River dance, and they play a game of 'splash-tag' that the playful beavers have tried to join uninvited, more than once! Their laughter echoes across the valleys, turning heads of eagles mid-flight and making the deer pause, their ears twitching in curiosity. And if you listen real close, you might hear the echoes of Auntie Windwhiskers' hearty laughter, carried by the wind, as she recounts tales of these brave and jolly young kayakers. She'll tell you that there's no better place than Pennsylvania, and no better kids than these River Rascals, who master the waves with their kayaks, spread joy with their laughter, and turn ordinary days into magical Pennsylvania adventures.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
