In the wondrous state of Oklahoma, where the wind sweeps down the plains, and wildflowers bloom like a painter's palette, there's a special group of kids we like to call the Doodlebugs. No, they're not real bugs, silly! They are a bunch of creative wizards with pencils, crayons, and markers, who can turn even the most ordinary paper into a magnificent world of imagination. The Doodlebugs are led by their quirky leader, Sketchy Scarecrow. No, he's not your regular scarecrow, he's a magical doodle maestro, born from the stroke of an enchanted crayon. He's got sketch pad eyes, ruler legs, and a pencil behind his straw ear, which he uses for sketching whenever he wants. And even though he's a scarecrow, he isn't scary at all. Instead, he's full of puns and jokes. Like when someone asked him why he loves drawing so much, he said, “Because it’s the only time when I can draw a conclusion and not get into trouble!” These Okie Doodlebugs could be found everywhere from Tulsa to Oklahoma City, from Norman to Lawton, creating wonderful masterpieces. They would draw anything and everything, from the biggest dinosaurs to the tiniest ants, from the longest twisters to the most colorful sunsets. Most importantly, they drew together, laughing and learning, sharing their dreams on paper, and making the world a more colorful place. So, whether you're in OK or any corner of the world, you too could be a part of the Doodlebugs. Just pick up a pencil, let your imagination run wild and who knows, you might just end up creating the next masterpiece!
