Once upon a time, in the wavy plains of Oklahoma, where the red dirt mixes with the blue sky and is cut through by the snake-like curves of the mighty Arkansas River, lived a group of children who loved to ski. Yes, ski! You heard it right! Even though Oklahoma is not known for its snowy mountains, these young adventurers found a way. They were the "OK Ski Squad." The squad was led by their rambunctically cool imaginary friend, 'Slippery Sam.' Slippery Sam was a cowboy with a peculiar twist. Instead of riding horses, he rode skis! With his cowboy boots strapped tightly into his neon-colored skis and his cowboy hat firmly on his head, he'd zip down the Oklahoma hills faster than a jackrabbit on a hot summer day. Whenever a new kid joined the squad, Slippery Sam would appear with a warm, welcoming grin and say, “Welcome to the Oklahoma Ski Squad, partner! Here we don't need snow to ski, just a little magic and a lot of imagination!" Slippery Sam taught them to ski on the dusty plains, the muddy slopes when it rained, and even on the rainbow when it appeared after a refreshing shower. The children loved their skiing adventures. Each day, they'd return home with stories of their exciting escapades. They'd talk of how they skied with the prairie dogs, raced with the tumbleweeds, and played hide and seek with the clouds. They were the OK Ski Squad, the coolest kids in all of Oklahoma, and with Slippery Sam by their side, they were ready to ski off into any adventure that came their way.
